Monetizing your blog by placing ads on your site is a great way to earn money from your website. And there are plenty of companies out there that can help you do that. No doubt, you’ve heard of Clickbooth and may have even read a few Clickbooth reviews. In this Clickbooth review, we’ll help you figure out if this company can help you reach your goal. You’ll be shocked by what we found.
What is Clickbooth?
Clickbooth.com is an affiliate network. The company was founded in September 2002 and have been in business for over 15 years. The current CEO is Erin Cigich and their headquarters are in Sarasota, FL. They also have a European office in Bosnia. Clickbooth is similar to other affiliate networks such as CJ Affiliate and MaxBounty.
How Does Clickbooth work?
Clickbooth connects affiliate publishers with advertisers. So if you have a website featuring fashion, you’d look for ads related to fashion to place on your site and so forth. Clickbooth has a CPA structure (cost per action). So you would receive a commission for actions taken by your visitors who click on your clickbooth link. The action could be buying something, signing up for a product or service.
Clickbooth Features
Clickbooth provides various options for their publishers, their features include:
- Available worldwide
- Free to join
- Plenty of ads to choose from
- Affiliate Rewards Program for very successful affiliate publishers. This program is available to all affiliates. Affiliates earn points based on all traffic sent through Clickbooth. The more traffic you send, the more rewards you earn.
- Dedicated account manager assigned to you
- No website needed
These are all pretty good features, but there are other networks you can also consider that have similar and/or better features such as Maxbounty.com, Traffic Jam Media & iGain.com.
How Much Can You Make with Clickbooth?
As with most affiliate networks, the amount of money you make will vary depending on the ad placement and clicks on those ads.
In order to make decent money with any affiliate network, you’ll need to have a steady flow of traffic to your site. If you think your site can use more traffic, consider joining Wealthy Affiliate. They will teach you how to get tons of FREE traffic from Google.
When Do Clickbooth Publishers Get Paid?
Payment terms for Clickbooth affiliate publishers are net 30. That means that your first payment will not be issued until 30 days after the end of the previous month. No funds are paid out before the corresponding advertisers have paid their fees. All funds are paid in U.S. dollars. For U.S. residents, you’ll need to have a W8 or W9 on record with Clickbooth and your account must have a balance in excess of $50.
There is another option to be paid twice a month but you’ll need to discuss that option with your account manager to see if you would qualify for those terms.
In general, payments are made via check or Paypal. Other options include International wires, direct deposit or ACH.
Clickbooth Requirements
Clickbooth is available to anyone worldwide and there is an application process you’ll need to go through. Requirements include:
- All affiliate publishers must be pre-approved through the application process. The application process normally takes around 72 hours.
- All ad placement on websites or through email distribution lists must be reviewed and approved prior to ad placement.
- Affiliate publisher websites cannot promote child pornography, illegal activity, violence or hate against people, animals or organizations.
If any of these requirements seem a little out of reach for you, you may want to consider joining Maxbounty.com, Traffic Jam Media & iGain.com as an alternative option.

Clickbooth Complaints
We’ve talked about the features of Clickbooth. Now, let’s talk about a few things that may be deal breakers for you. Here are a few issues that may give you pause:
Affiliate Rewards Program Is Out of Reach
Clickbooth has an affiliates rewards program that can earn you points that can be redeemed for products. While this program is available to all affiliates, you need to have earned $20,000 over a 12-month period before you can cash them in for rewards. Also, reward points expire 12 months after they become available.
Limited Support Options
The only way to really contact Clickbooth to get any resolution to any issues you may have is to create a ticket. There’s no phone number, email address or live chat option.
No BBB Listing
At the time of this review ClickBooth is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau which may be a deal breaker for those of you who live and die by BBB ratings.
Some of the complaints above may be deal breakers for you. Fortunately there are other networks you could join such as Maxbounty.com, Traffic Jam Media & iGain.com that have similar and/or better features.
Either way traffic to your website is very important in order to make money with any network program you join. So if you could use more of it, you may want to join Wealthy Affiliate. They will teach you how to get tons of FREE traffic from Google.
Should You Join Clickbooth?
Clickbooth is a reputable program but it certainly has its minor quirks. But there doesn’t seem to be many red flag deal breakers. That said you shouldn’t have all your eggs in one basket. Fortunately there are other networks you can join such as Maxbounty.com, Traffic Jam Media & iGain.com.
Ultimately traffic is the critical component to ensure your success with any affiliate network. So you may want to join Wealthy Affiliate who can teach you how to generate tons of FREE traffic to your website.

Thanks for another great review on how to earn additional revenue on my blog. I do believe that I can pass the requirements for this one. Do you know if they have travel related affiliates? This seems to be the issue for me, finding affiliates that do travel. I will definitely to go the link and investigate further. Thanks for the great review!
Hey, I’m not really sure. You are probably better off just asking them before joining.
Unfortunately ClickBank does not accept all countries to join their affiliate marketing platform. So this is a great alternative to me. I am of the opinion that once the website is checked and it meets the basic criteria, it should be approved regardless of the country where it is based. Aside the $50 minimum threshold for withdrawal, I am cool with this.
I totally understand your frustration with the country requirements of certain networks. But I think it usually has to do with fraud issues or other payments issues. Regardless it sucks.
Hello Eddy, Thanks for this review! I hadn’t heard of Clickbooth until now and I appreciate you sharing the info about it. I’m always looking for new options to monetize my blog. This is really helpful, and I will have to look into this program. I was already planning on joining up with Max Bounty but I hadn’t heard of the Traffic Jam or iGain yet either. I’m learning a lot from your blog and I appreciate you sharing your tips. Keep em comin! 🙂
You’re very welcome Kandi! I’m glad I could share these other networks with you.
I’ve heard of Clickbooth before on some forums but never looked it up until now. It definitely sounds like a legit CPA platform. I’m currently a member of MaxBounty and I’m affiliated with mostly their survey sites, but I’m always looking for backups. I wonder if Clickbooth offer any survey site ads. Do you know if the application process involve having to speak over the phone as with the case with MaxBounty? It’s really annoying how it takes a few days to get the ball rolling..but I guess that’s how they screen out the people who aren’t serious.
I’m not really sure. You may want to visit them and ask them this.
I like that clickbooth will accept people worldwide. I have come across similar networks that restrict membership to particular countries. While they might have their reasons for this, I just don’t think they are being fair to those countries they refused to allow participate in their network.
I am looking to include ads on my site and would definitely look at clickbooth but the fact that they are not in BBB listings might be of some concern to me because to be part of BBB listing creates trust on people deciding to partake in their program.
I hear you Jay. It does suck when these opportunities aren’t available to everyone. But fortunately that’s why we have many other networks to consider and try. Thanks for chiming in.
I think click booth is worth joining. However, personally I don’t know much about cpa and cpc. From the little i know, I think I prefer cpc. Because then I earn money if my audience clicks on the links. Using cost per action programs, would I get paid for bringing in leads without taking action? I think there should be a compensation for bringing traffic to such platform, even if they don’t take the required action.
Well yes CPC is probably the easiest way to make money because in that case you are just getting paid for bringing traffic to the advertiser. CPA requires that your audience does take an action but many times the action is just joining a free site. It doesn’t have to be an actual sale to make money. So keep that in mind.
Thanks Eddy with a y.
Really useful review since there are so many affiliate networks and it can be difficult choosing the best for myself.
Are Clickbooth related to Click Banks at all?
Is it possible to build a sizeable income using Clickbooth, or is it one of those situations where it is possible to build a small but regular income? I get the impression that it is the latter.
I can understand that the admin costs in paying earned commissions can be high but I do feel that companies like this are using the affiliate’s money rather than their own.
Thanks again for a helpful review.
You’re welcome. I wondered the same thing about ClickBooth and Clickbank but they appear to be separate companies. Any affiliate network can lead to a sizeable income assuming you have enough traffic.
