As long as you follow the rules, there’s a lot of potential to make money here. How much money you make will depend on the types of ads you run on your site and the traffic as well as the number of click throughs on those ads.

What We Like About The MaxBounty Program

Now that we laid out the particulars, let’s discuss what we like about Maxbounty.com

Voted Best CPA Network: MaxBounty was voted the best CPA network by advertisers and affiliates for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Great Referral Program: As a new affiliate you can earn a $1,000 bonus if you make $1,000 commissions for three months payable in the fourth month.

Affiliate Rewards: In the past, MaxBounty has awarded the top affiliates with a retreat to Banff covering flights, meals, lodging and activities.

Affiliate Managers: all affiliates are assigned affiliate managers to help them.

MaxBounty Complaints

Now we discussed what we like about Maxbounty, what about complaints? Every network will have a few complaints. Our research found the following:

A pretty strict approval process

The online application process is pretty detailed. You also need to outline your experience with affiliate marketing. Even after you submit your application, there’s still another hoop to get through. An affiliate manager will evaluate your application and call you to discuss how you plan to promote products. If you don’t meet their approval, you won’t be accepted.

High cashout minimum

The minimum cashout is $100. If you don’t reach the minimum payout, your earnings roll over to the next month and continue to roll over until you reach the minimum. If your site doesn’t get enough traffic or you’re not promoting well, it could take a long time to get a payout.

Affiliates Being Banned

Make sure you follow all the rules! If you don’t, you get banned! And Maxbounty doesn’t necessarily tell you why you are being banned. And there’s no real comeback either. If you are banned for any reason, you’ll receive a termination letter. If you think you’ve been wrongfully terminated from the program, you can plead your case. Just know that by the time you get a termination letter, it’s already too late and there are only rare instances where an affiliate is given another chance.

Some the complaints above may give you pause. Fortunately there are many other affiliate networks out there. Furthermore you should always have multiple streams of income anyway. So with that in mind, you may want to check out iGain.com & Traffic Jam Media.

Regardless of the network you join, you probably need more FREE traffic or a website. Either way, Wealthy Affiliate can teach you with step by step training.

  1. Max Bounty looks very promising to me.  I don’t mind the hoops to go thru for the approval process.  That just makes it more legit in my eyes.  I am definitely going to check out what affiliates I can work with before signing up, so I know if this will benefit me or not.  I am sure if my site cannot market the programs they offer, than I probably won’t get accepted anyway.   Do you know if they have any travel related affiliates I can make money with?

  2. The MaxBounty program seems very legitimate to me based on your review and from what I have heard from other affiliate marketers. Personally, I have not sought approval for this program, but I may now after reading the review you have posted. The 5% commission is not that high, but the $1000 bonus sounds very attractive.

You give the program a very high rating (10,10, and 10) so obviously, you also think this is a program that people should look at. Knowing that Facebook is involved with the company is also a comforting factor. That gives the air of trust for me. They will stand behind their products from what I have seen.

Good review and thanks for the information…

    • Just keep in mind the 5% is referring to their program if you refer other affiliates to join Maxbounty. But Maxbounty works with tons of advertisers that pay you various rates, which are obviously higher than 5%. So I just want to make that clear if there is any confusion.

  3. Its nice to see something different in the affiliate world.  Well different in my affiliate world anyways.  This is a great review and wonders will never cease finally something that is legit!!

With my experience with affiliate programs like this you will not get approved unless you have traffic.  It doesnt matter what your plan is because everyone know traffic sells.

I will give it a closer look and see where I go from there.

    • Yeah any affiliate program wants to work with websites with decent traffic. Because no one makes money unless you have eyeballs on your site that can take action on the affiliate offers you would place on your page.

  4. Thanks so much for this great MaxBounty review! I am an affiliate marketer and I hear about MaxBounty a lot. It’s one of those affiliate programs that I really want to try joining, but for some reason that approval process scares me! lol

I think it’s nerve-wracking to have someone actually call you on the phone and basically interview you to see if you’re good enough for their program. With that said, I know I can’t let fear hold me back. So I will definitely give them a try at some point.

I appreciate the thorough review so that I know what I’ll be getting myself into! 😉

    • You should definitely give it a shot. The interview is harmless. As long as your site is getting some traffic, it’s worth joining.

  5. I joined MaxBounty last year. It was actually pretty easy to get accepted.  There are YouTube videos giving instructions on how to get accepted.  The affiliate managers are helpful, just bear in mind that their time is limited so they will give precedence to those who are bringing in lots of “actions”.

  6. Hello, Eddy and Happy Belated New Year.

I enjoyed reading your review and as others have said, it’s nice to see a positive review about a legit program as well as something us Canadians might want to look into considering it’s “Home Grown”.

Their standards for approval also give them a higher legitimacy because it shows that they want people that are doing what they need to do to succeed, ie. writing good content consistently,  getting good traffic and rankings on search engines.

Gotta be legit if the BBB gives them an A+ and for sure worth checking out.

    Wayne
